Living during the totalitarian system, Ivan Kirkov made compromises. He feared the repressive apparatus of power. At the same time, for his own consumption - buried, as he says in "the hole he dug", he created extremely interesting and "heretical" works for his time. Tired of the big city and the complicated relationships between people, he returned to his native Asenovgrad to immerse himself in the memory of his childhood, to be charged with positive energy from pure relationships.
